Burnet Woods is the second oldest park in Cincinnati Ohio. The park is also one of the largest in the area. That being said, it used to be much larger, however, in 1950 the University of Cincinnati purchased 7 acres of land that later became Rieveschel, Langsam, and DAAP. As DAAP students we are very interested in making an art piece representing this transaction. Although we don't think Burnet woods is currently in danger of being gobbled up by UC, we would like to shed some light on the history of the park and remind people of the general trend of undervaluing public parks.
